Hi! I’m Nadine and along with my husband Samer, we’re the team behind MattiWorX. Thanks for checking us out!

We have so much to talk about, well, mostly Samer does, but I'll write here to make it shorter:

We met on Samer’s birthday back in 2016 in Grand Bend on a trip organized by some mutual friends. Samer, being the extroverted person that he is, introduced himself and invited me to join in a game of paddleboard, to which I agreed. One thing led to another, and less than a year later, he popped the question on yet another beach - this time in the Dominican Republic. It was a Beauty and the Beast themed proposal, based on my favorite Disney movie, with a hidden photographer he had hired and a hidden camera he mounted to get the whole thing captured and edited in a video. Maybe that was the spark that started off our storytelling photography/videography journey.

We've been married for five amazing years. We love travelling across the globe, hiking through nature trails, attempting latte art, and of course taking lots and lots of pictures to remember all of the special moments along the way.

We are passionate about helping others. In addition to photography, I am a nurse practitioner and a former CVICU nurse. Dealing with patients and their families during those trying times has really helped me work under very stressful and time-sensitive situations, which we are often faced with during wedding days. Samer is an electrical engineer, often dealing with internal and external clients and working on multi-million dollar projects, as a result, his customer service and attention to detail are among his biggest strengths. He is also the tech and customer service guy behind MattiWorX. That means setting up our website, contracts, dissecting every feature of our cameras known to mankind, and dealing with most client inquiries.

We both love the creative side of photography. We work together to develop our “style,” which is the look and feel of the photos. We find that our differing personalities, with Samer being the extrovert and me being the introvert, allows us to relate to all of our clients who often love the idea of working with another married couple. Honestly, we’ve met so many incredible people and built some amazing friendships along the way.

Our mission is to capture your story. We try to capture a combination of candid and “candid looking” posed moments through a photojournalistic approach to give you memories you can cherish for decades to come. We are perfectionist in nature and handle every step of the workflow in-house. By capturing and editing all of your photos ourselves, we strive to exceed all of your expectations.
